Properties:
Stainless steel is a corrosion-resistant steel alloy containing a minimum of about 10.5% chromium, often with additions of nickel, molybdenum, and other elements. It offers excellent resistance to rust and staining, high strength, and good toughness across a wide temperature range. Depending on the grade (austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, duplex, precipitation-hardening), stainless steel can provide enhanced formability, weldability, hardness, and chloride-stress-corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both structural and hygienic applications.
